This lesson on leadership that Maurice taught on was a much needed lesson and he mentioned some good points! Something he mentioned that is vital in leadership is authenticity. He mentioned that leaders are called with responsibility and that at times, we will make mistakes, but taking responsibility for our mistakes opens up the way to progress and wisdom. Leaders are also suppose to walk in humility. I have an example of this. When I went to Starbucks the other day to get something, I asked the lady if I could have my receipt at the window and as I asked she got another order over her headset and could not hear me, so when she was done talking in her headset and had a moment, she said next time when I'm ordering to tell them over the speaker that you want a receipt with your order, which gave me a tip for next time even if I order food somewhere else so they can get to the next order in line faster instead of asking for receipt after food is given to me at window. Now I could have got offended, but I didn't and told her thank you and said ok. I learned that the staff and serpent can both be used for good in the moment. I learned that sometimes God can put you in situations for development to show us ourselves and that when it comes to our assignment that God gives us we may not understand and others may not understand.
