Wow, I wish I had a mentor at some point in my life because I could have avoided some hard places. However, God knew and became my mentor. I don't to this day have attachments or heroes. Although, over the years I have learned the importance of a mentorship through my first Apostle, Pastor, Gwendolyn McCurry. She took me under her wings only because I saw nothing in her that could harm me. Meaning, no hidden agendas of any kind. It's with her I learned the true meaning of mentorship and the only person I could finally look up to. Trusting and believing in someone who I could be vulnerable with took time. Pastor, McCurry, taught me how to do all three. Until this day, I truly believe that I walk in her mantle of mentorship.
